Amanda and Brett live just outside Yosemite, so when I told them I'd be there for someone else's engagement session, they were down to book theirs there too. I was so excited to finally shoot a couple in one of the world's most beautiful places. Even better, they brought their fun loving rescue pup along, which I definitely don't hate :) The park was starting to get busy for the summer but we found plenty of awesome places in the valley and around to shoot... Read MoreI first met Hannah & Jason at their engagement party/engagement session where they hosted a small cocktail party with their closest friends at a rad warehouse in Oakland. It had just the vibe they were going for and while it was a super fun shoot, we still wanted some outdoor photos as well. It was a downpour the night of their party, so we reschedule part II for a later date... [con't]
Read MoreA while ago I posted about the ever so sweet Lyndsay & Matt's engagement session in San Francisco's Conservatory of Flowers. Which was AMAZING. My love for greenery and plants intensified and I could have spent all day there. Well, my dreams came true when I saw that their wedding venue would be just as lush and gardenesque as ever, at The Brownstone Gardens in Oakley, California... [con't]
Read MoreA few posts back you can find the ever stunning engagements with Carmen & Leland. Definitely my first time shooting in a museum, but I certainly hope not my last. I knew their intimate wedding would be just as special... [con't]
Read MoreOkay I know I say this every time, but I'm obsessed with this engagement session. Paige & Garner trusted my wild approach to meet at a windy beach in the Marin Headlands and we also got to frolic in the super bloom of mustard wildflowers. After that we headed up to a secluded spot up higher in the hills and really embraced the wind. You guys, I LOVE wind. It can be challenging, but it makes for such dynamic images... [con't]
Read MoreHaving both grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Carmen & Leland knew the city pretty well. At the time they contacted me about their engagement and wedding photos, Carmen had started working at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. A place I had been itching to go to. We started their shoot at the SFMOMA and finished off with some incredible sunset views up at Twin Peaks... [con't]
Read MoreI absolutely love what I do, but sometimes you fall into a creative rut or a safe zone of shooting. That's when it's important to switch things up a bit and shoot something totally different. I met Hannah & Jason who had just the thing. They met while bartending in Oakland, and wanted their photos to really represent who they are. They decided to throw a small get together with some of their closest friends at this incredible loft in Oakland and turn that into their engagement session... [con't]
Read MoreI had the pleasure of photographing Erin & Evan's wedding last year, and what do you know, I guess I didn't totally suck because they brought me back down to southern California to shoot their anniversary session. I love these people! When we first met almost two years ago I knew they would be such fun people to get to know. I've remained in contact with sweet Erin through social media and love catching up with them via sharing our pets' photos. If you're an animal lover, trust me, we will definitely get along... [con't]
Read MoreLiving just an hour outside of San Francisco provides the opportunity to visit the city fairly often, however I wish I went more often. Luckily, I have awesome clients who don't mind adventuring in the city with me. Lyndsay & Matt wanted to start their engagement shoot at the incredible Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. It was a chilly winter morning outside, but inside the conservatory felt like a (very welcomed) humid paradise. I could honestly hangout in there all day and be happy... [con't]
Read MoreThere aren't many good reasons for me to wake up before the sun rises, however getting up that early to take some lovely sunrise photos is always an exception. Not only is the light so dreamy at that hour, but the city is unbelievably quiet. Places that are typically overbearing with people are basically silent. When I have clients wanting to shoot in popular locations in San Francisco such as the Sutro Baths, I recommend a sunrise session... [con't]
Read MoreMost of you know my husband and I recently relocated from southern California to northern California last summer (2016). It's been quite a bit of work to get the business going again up here but I am thrilled to have had Zanetta & Caleb as my very first Sacramento wedding this last fall! It is seriously such an underrated city and has so much beauty to offer... [con't]
Read MoreMy cute sister in law got married last summer which meant we got to spend some time in the beautiful mountains of Utah. It gets pretty cold there in the winter, so the summertime was absolutely perfect. I hadn't met the groom yet but needless to say Aubrea & Kyle are so absolutely perfect together... [con't]
